On My Last Visa Run

Well, knowing I’ll be finishing up with ISM in June means this term has been filled with “lasts” – last time picking a student up at the airport, last time buying 10 BTS tickets at once, and now my last time taking ISM students on the one day visa run to Cambodia. These are not sad things, or happy things. They just are. June feels like it is coming lightning fast, but it also hasn’t really sunk in yet that I’m flying home with a one-way ticket this time, and I don’t know when I’ll see Thailand again. It’s weird to think about everything that’s been normal for five years being completely in my past, in just a few months. Not bad, or sad. Just weird. The timing is right, though, and I love the peace that comes from knowing that. I have so many things to look forward to right now, both here in Thailand and after I return. I’m feeling very grateful. 🙂
