Today I went to a market with some of the other volunteers at NightLight. I took a taxi (by myself!) to the sky train, and then took the sky train to the station where we were meeting, and then rode the sky train all the way to the end of the line. There, I found the hugest market I have ever seen in my entire life!!! There are over 6000 stalls there. There are millions of things there to see (and smell). I only bought one thing though – but it’s a gift, so I can’t say anything here!!! I had to keep reminding myself that I’ve got three months here, so I shouldn’t spend all my money right away! I also got a water bottle and an iced coffee.
After the market, we took the sky train back to the Siam Paragon mall and had lunch there. This is such a ridiculously upscale mall – I could never buy anything there! 😛 I also got an iced coffee at the Starbucks there. Then we went to the gourmet market (grocery store) – wow! I’ve never seen so many people just standing around waiting to help you! Definitely a fun trip.
Then, we went home. I rode the sky train from one end of the line to the other today! When I got back to the start, I got a taxi and managed to get home with no trouble! 🙂
I’m going to go take a “nap” (ie. try to) before dinner.
