There is a possibility that the movement won't hold the first time, so keeping it on for a few more weeks will only do Marilyn good. It can be quite a wait, and having been told to wait a few more weeks can be a huge disappointment when you're already dreaming about the things you miss eating. But since the change is for a lifetime, every small adjustment counts.

I agree it's a challenging situation. But I still firmly believe that you cannot have a full and complete relationship with someone without taking that risk and investing your heart in it.
I do believe that God has a plan for who I'll spend my life with, but when I meet that guy, it's still ultimately my decision to take a risk and invest my heart in that relationship - if I choose to remain "safe" and aloof, we'll never get to the altar! ;)
It is certainly difficult to figure out where the line between risking and being wise is! I don't have it all figured out either, but I think the answer lies in not *foolishly* risking - which is what I was trying to hit on in the post above. Just like it is unwise to invest some money in every stock option just on the hopes that one of them will turn out well, it is unwise to invest your heart in every "option" just on the hopes that one of them will turn out to be "the one". But, with time and prayer, if it seems like a good investment, then taking the risk is worth it...

I feel the same way. but i also struggle with this concept of protecting your heart but still taking a risk at the same time
1: because I know when I take that risk it is most likely my heart speaking. and "heart talk" is just too much emotion added into the whole equation.
2: I also know that the heart is too precious to take risks with. I think that there is a fine line between risk and protecting your heart. but i have not figured that out yet.
3: I try not to lean on my own understand as well because God has it all figured out.

Great insight Jessica! Becoming more aware of what you don't know (eg. the boxes) is the first step to expanding your options. But rest assured, you are a highly creative person. Remember your version of Santa Claus in kindergarten? That was creative. And all the crafts you have done? The decorating in your room? All creative. And especially your ability to think and penetrate through to the common sense or underlying issue/logic is highly creative too. When you see things differently than most people, that is your creativity at work. You see solutions in the classroom that others would completely miss. You are one creative gal for sure!
